Senior Consultant – Delay Featured

DMD Consult LLC is a multi-disciplinary consultancy which operates globally.

We are seeking an experienced Claims Consultant with a strong background in claims management and dispute resolution to join the team in our new office in Doha.

The role:
DMD is seeking an experienced Senior Delay Consultant to join our growing team in Doha.

Primary Duties:

• Detailed analysis of documents relating to delay, disruption, claims, and any other relevant information required to analyse information provided on major disputes.
• Preparation of claims and/or rebuttal documents to litigation/arbitration standard.
• Support delivery of commission services in line with client briefs.
• Actively contribute to business development and delivery of a full range of the company’s services across a wide client base.
• Assist with the preparation of expert reports for formal dispute resolution proceedings. Desired Skills and Experience:
• 10+ years post qualification experience with delay analysis and schedule analysis in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of project scheduling and how schedules operate.
• Strong working knowledge of different methods of Critical Path Analysis such as As Planned vs As built and windows analysis.
• Experienced user of Primavera P6 is essential.
• Spreadsheet Analysis and knowledge of Excel functions such as V-lookup, Pivot tables.
• Demonstrable knowledge of SCL Delay and Disruption Protocol and practical application thereof
• Degree qualified in Engineering and/or Construction management or related discipline and preferably hold some form of legal qualification, for example, MSc in Construction Law or Post Graduate Diploma in Arbitration.
• Exposure to major projects and claims.
• Analytical, investigative, problem-solving approach to work.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
